ＭＬＢ＝インディアンス、先住民衣装の観客を入場禁止へ

大リーグ（ＭＬＢ）インディアンスは３１日、今季からはネーティブアメリカン（米国先住民族）を模した頭の装飾やフェースペイントをしたファンの入場を禁止することを発表した。

インディアンスは球団名がネーティブアメリカンへの侮辱であるとの批判が続いたことを受け、昨年１２月に名称変更を決定（新名称が決まるまで今季はインディアンスのまま）。すでに１９年にはユニホームから「ワフー酋長」のロゴを外している。

今回の決定について球団は「不適切ないし攻撃的なイメージ、言葉、衣装やフェースペイントは覆うか外さなければならない」と説明している。

外見だけ取り繕ったところで、差別する人間がいなくなるわけじゃない。

　

差別撤廃には賛成だけど、最近は行きすぎて先住民族の人々の歴史を捨てていってるようにも感じる。
行き過ぎると昔生きていた先住民族たちの歴史を「差別」する事になりそうで怖い。

　

もともとネイティヴアメリカンの勇猛さにあやかってチーム名を付け、ファンも勇猛さへのリスペクト込みで扮装していたのであって、バカにする気は毛頭無いと思うんだが。タブー視する方が差別的のようにも感じる。

　

インディアンズ、という名称が問題で、それを修正するのは構わない。ただ、ネイティブアメリカンのシンボルすら消すというのは、むしろ逆効果じゃないだろうか。まるで、インディアンの名前を修正すると同時に、ネイティブアメリカンの存在すら消そうとしているように感じる。

　

どうにも、今のアメリカのポリコレは、当事者じゃなく周りの人間がどう感じたかだけで物事が動いている気さえする。

　

侵略者が大きな顔をして差別を非難する。
声高に差別を非難すればするほど、自分たちが差別主義者であることを喧伝しているように聞こえる。

　

“赤い肌”ことレッドスキンズはともかく、インディアンスのチーム名については本当に先住民族から抗議が来ているのだろうか？最近の流れに乗っかって人権団体が抗議しているだけではないのか？

　

「ネイティブアメリカン」という呼称もどうなんだろうね。彼らは「アメリカ」という国家が誕生する以前からそこに住んでいて、そもそも「アメリカン」ではなかったわけだが。

　

服装や衣装で入場禁止の方が差別だと思うが。

　

差別は論外だけど、逆に排除にならないか？
ネイティブアメリカンの伝統や文化が
触れてはイケないものとして消えてしまうのでは？

　

ただただ先住民族を腫物にしているだけ、チーム愛で衣装をきているのだから。

　

じゃあアイヌ人がスーパーや飲食店に先住民衣装を来てやって来たら追い返せばいいの？

　

映画のメジャーリーグも放送禁止になるのかねぇ…

　

これも白人の意識高い系が他人に自分の考えを強要しているw
ポリコレだのBLMだの全て他者を排除すること
まるで魔女狩り

　

日本で例えるなら平安貴族や鎌倉武士、もしくは農民のコスプレで入場したらアウトみたいなものだよな。
入れないってのが逆に差別になってる事に気付いてないよね。

　

いやいやいや、インディアンの勇猛さとか気高さとか、
リスペクトしてコスプレしてるんでしょうが。
