アメリカ政府、「天安門事件」を「天安門大虐殺」に改名すると発表

ブリンケン米国務長官は3日、中国の民主化運動が武力弾圧された天安門事件から4日で32年になるのに合わせて声明を発表し、事件を「大虐殺」と表現し、非難した。

その上で「天安門広場」は、人権や基本的自由を訴えた数万人の人々を黙らせるために中国政府が取った残忍な行動の同義語となったと指摘した。

また、「あの日に起きたことについて透明性を求めることをやめてはならない」と訴え、事件の死者や拘束者、行方不明者に関する完全な説明を求めた。
