ニュージャージー州自動車委員会（ＭＶＣ）が、自動車運転免許証など身分証明書の性別欄で、男性でも女性でもない「Ｘ」を選択できるようになったと発表したことが２１日までに分かった。同じ制度は米国内の少なくとも１９州と首都ワシントンで採用されている。

性別の選択肢の拡大は、住民が性別を変更しやすくする目的で２０１８年に制定された法律に基づく措置。

性別欄のＸは、その人物の性別を特定しないことを表すもので、自分は男性でも女性でもないと認識している人などが利用できる。運転免許証などの身分証明書で自分の性別を特定したくない住民がこれを選択することも可能。

身分証としては有効ですが性別を証明するものではないので

　

ピンとこない権利だな。
運転免許は事故の際の処置にもかかわる。意識がないような場合の医学処置にXと書かれても・・・
肉体的な性別と、特殊な薬を服用してる可能性のある性転換手術の有無を記載したほうが実用的に思える。

Xの人は男女共用トイレじゃなきゃダメでしょ。

　

そのうちBL本みたいな感じでXL本とか流行ったりしそう。

　

そっか、日本の免許証には性別ないのか。
今確認したら、カリフォルニアの免許証には
SEX M て書いてたわ。
確かに運転するのに男も女も関係ないもんな。

でもスパとかジムとかでIDとして使うなら、性別があった方が良いかも。
女装して女性更衣室に入って捕まるやつとかおるし。
