「本物」のライトセーバー？　ディズニーが動画で披露

ウォルト・ディズニーが、人気ＳＦ映画「スター・ウォーズ」に登場するライトセーバーの「本物」を制作したらしい。

動画では、映画の登場人物レイに扮した役者がライトセーバーのスイッチを入れると、映画さながらに光の刃が現れる。視覚効果でもカメラの仕掛けでもない、正真正銘のライトセーバーだった。

当然ながら、父が息子の手を切り落とすこともできるようなレーザー刀をディズニーが実際に制作したわけではない。ディズニーのテーマパークや小道具、ホテルなどを手掛けた制作陣が、鍔（つば）から光の刃が伸びる本物のようなライトセーバーをつくり出した。
