米陸軍、女性兵士にポニーテールを許可

（ＣＮＮ） 米陸軍は６日、身だしなみに関する指針を改定し、女性兵士にすべての制服でポニーテールの髪型を許可すると発表した。

今年１月に発表された新指針では、ポニーテールやドレッドロックス、口紅、イヤリングが認められた。ポニーテールは帽子やヘルメットの装着に干渉しない中程度の長さなら許され、作戦訓練や戦闘中に戦闘服を着ている際も認められることとなった。

今回の改定では、気をつけの姿勢で、背中の中心部分で肩甲骨の下の部分まで編んだ髪やポニーテールを伸ばすことが認められた。最短の長さは決められていない。ただ、作戦訓練などでは「兵士の能力を邪魔したり、安全面でリスクにさらしたりしない」長さにする必要がある。

また、指揮官は揺れるポニーテールや編んだ髪のリスクも分析し、長い髪は制服上着の内部にしまうべきか検討するとしている。
