銃規制と言っても、入手前に前科の有無をチェックする、殺傷能力の高い銃の流通を規制する、といったくらいで、既に国民に手にある銃を取り上げる訳ではない。

銃があることによる自殺や巻き添えも深刻。

　

銃に関するアメリカ人の感覚は我々には理解し難い。歴史的背景があって国民が銃を持つ権利を国が認めているアメリカでは凶悪事件があれば「だからこそ護身用に銃は必要」という意見が出るらしいし。

　

一国のトップが「国際的な恥」と理解・把握して声を大にするのは大きな前進だと思います。

　

米国では「銃所持の権利」が憲法で守られている。
根本的に規制するなら憲法改定が必要。

こんなものが簡単に手に入る世の中だからこそ　人々は自衛のために銃を所有したいと思うのだろうなぁ。
かといって一斉にすべての銃を使用禁止、回収、とかできないだろうし。

　

アメリカ人の多くは「銃なくしてどうやって身を守るんだ」という根本的に銃での犯罪がありきの発想しかないから、規制するなんて至難の業なんでしょうね。
