海兵隊とネイビーシールズってやってることかぶってない？
だれか教えて。

てことでスレッドが立ってたので拾ってみました。

ネイビーシールズはアメリカ海軍の特殊部隊の中のエリートチーム
200人くらいしかいない。

海兵隊は真っ先に敵陣に突っ込む緊急展開部隊。
何万人もいる。

　

海兵隊は言わば強襲部隊。
昔は国外への主立った大量移送手段が船だったり、船上での切り込み戦闘の必要性から海兵隊って名称になってるけど。
基本、戦地に橋頭堡を作る事が役目で、橋頭堡から陸軍を上陸させて内地に侵攻させたりするのが仕事。

　

Se=Sea海
A=Air空
L=Land陸

つまり、どこでも出動できるというのが名前の由来だと、ディスカバリーチャンネルの特集で言ってたよ。

　

シールズとグリーンベレー、デルタフォースはどう違うの？
単に所属だけ？

　

シールズ：アメリカ海軍の特殊部隊で陸海空問わずに偵察、監視、不正規戦等の特殊作戦に対応出来る能力を持ち、アメリカ政府に公的に存在を認められている

グリーンベレー：アメリカ陸軍所属の特殊部隊であり、主に対ゲリラ戦を行い、敵国内部で反乱勢力を鍛えて、自国の戦力として利用したりする。
アメリカ政府に公的に存在を認められている。

デルタフォース：アメリカ陸軍で対テロ特殊部隊。非常に知的水準が高く複数の言語を操り4人1組で行動を行う。
シールズグリーンベレーと違い、アメリカ政府は存在を認めていない。

　

　

海兵隊（Marines）っていうくらいだから海軍の一種かと思ってたけど、陸海空軍の全機能を備えた独立した軍なんだにゃ。

シールズは海軍の特殊部隊だけど、海のないところでも活躍してるね。
有名なのはビン・ラディン殺害の「ネプチューン・スピア（海神の槍）作戦」だにゃ。
